Today has been a very productive day, and it's all because of this book I've been reading. A few hours ago, I started reading this book called "Ain't No Sunshine" by Leslie DuBois, and it is very magnificent; I would definitely recommend this book to people. It's about this young Caucasian man who is being accused of killing his father, but the story walks you through his past. He has a friend, Ruthie, she's African-American, and she's his rock, basically. They were often looked down upon because they were always together, despite people's feelings towards the whole whites and blacks being together. This book intrigues me so much, because to this day, people still have a problem with interracial relationships; I don't see what's so wrong with it though. If two people are in love, then they have a right to be in love without being judged. Love should see no color nor sex, love isn't meant to be forbidden. Knowing that interracial relationships are still looked down on (somewhat), saddens me because I just feel like everyone is meant to have that one true love...they shouldn't have to spend their entire relationship defending it.
